Itinerary
The drive to Ostrog from popular coastal cities can take a few hours, so you'll have time to enjoy the scenic Montenegrin countryside.
Once at Ostrog, your tour will include a visit to the monastery complex. You can explore the Upper and Lower Monasteries and take in the incredible views from the cliffs.
The Upper Monastery is the most visited part of Ostrog. It's where you'll find the relics of Saint Basil of Ostrog. The journey to the Upper Monastery involves a steep and sometimes challenging hike, so be prepared with comfortable footwear. Otherwise our driver will take yout to the top. The Lower Monastery, located at the base of the cliffs, is easier to reach and is often less crowded.
Remember to dress modestly when visiting the monastery. This means covering your shoulders and knees. Appropriate attire is often required out of respect for the sacred site.
